OUR PROGRAMS
LIFE AT THE CLUB
At Kyneton District Soccer Club, community is at the heart of everything we do. We are a volunteer-run and not-for-profit club where every member – players, parents, guardians, and supporters alike – plays an important role in creating a vibrant, welcoming football community.
A community club, run by volunteers.
KDSC is managed by a passionate volunteer committee and supported by countless members who give their time to keep the club running smoothly.
From coaching, running the lines and team managing to helping at the canteen, setting up fields, providing half time oranges and supporting events, every contribution – big or small – makes a real difference.

Shared values & expectations
We’re proud to foster a culture built on respect, fair play, and teamwork.
We ask all members and families to:
-
Show respect for players, referees, coaches, and volunteers;
-
Embrace good sporting conduct on and off the field;
-
Support the club through volunteer shifts and community involvement; and
-
Be positive role models who contribute to a friendly and inclusive environment.
Inclusive & welcoming for all
KDSC is committed to access and equity for everyone. We welcome players, volunteers, and families of all abilities, genders, backgrounds, and experiences. Our club is a place where diversity is valued, everyone is treated with dignity and respect, and all members feel a sense of belonging.
We believe success isn’t just measured by what happens on the field – it’s reflected in the community spirit, supportive culture, and connections we build along the way.
OPPORTUNITIES BEYOND PLAYING
Football is about more than what happens on the pitch. At Kyneton District Soccer Club, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for people to grow, learn, and contribute in ways that go beyond being a player.
Coaching
Coaching is an incredibly rewarding way to make an impact. Whether you’re guiding young players, supporting social teams, or helping competitive squads reach their potential.
We offer:
Training and accreditation pathways to help new coaches get started and experienced coaches develop further.
Support and mentoring from experienced coaches within the club.
A welcoming environment where your passion and knowledge can inspire the next generation.
Refereeing
Becoming a referee is a fantastic way to deepen your understanding of the game, build confidence, and support fair play across all levels of football.
We provide:
-
Guidance and connections to accredited referee training and courses.
-
Opportunities to referee locally, with ongoing support from the club.
-
A chance to develop leadership skills and give back to the football community.

VOLUNTEERING
Volunteers are the heartbeat of KDSC. From game day support to behind-the-scenes roles, there’s a place for everyone to get involved – whether you can give an hour a week or a little more.
KDSC takes child safety very seriously and every volunteer is asked to submit or sign up to get a Working with Children’s Check and register it with Kyneton District Soccer Club. We will assign a KDSC Volunteer lanyard to each and every member who has been registered with the club so we are accountable for all our volunteers.
We ask each of our members to commit to at least one activity or role each season. This helps ensure the workload is shared fairly and keeps everyone actively involved in the life of the club. Volunteering is also a great way to connect with the community, meet new people and play a meaningful part in keeping our club thriving.

COMMUNICATION & STAYING CONNECTED
At KDSC, we know how important it is to keep everyone informed and connected – which is why we use Spond as our central communication hub.
Spond allows us to:
-
Share team updates quickly and easily
-
Send event reminders and match information
-
Keep all communication in one simple, accessible place
Once players are registered, families will receive an invitation to join Spond for their team. This ensures everyone gets the most up-to-date information – from training changes and game day details to club announcements and events.
Important: Spond is the primary communication tool for the club. All members are expected to use it so they don’t miss time-sensitive updates from coaches and committee members.
