NON-COMPETITIVE JUNIORS
(AGES 6 - 9)

Our Non-Competitive Juniors (U7, U8, U9 and U10 teams) are for players in the Discovery Phase of their soccer journey. Here we develop practices that are based on FUN and organise fun football exercises to help players build a love for the game.

Games are played on smaller pitches with reduced team sizes, smaller goals, and modified rules – a format designed to keep kids engaged and set them up for success as they develop. While players compete in weekly matches, no scores or ladders are recorded. The focus is on skill-building, teamwork, and a love of the game – not the scoreboard.

Parents and guardians are a big part of the experience too, helping out as coaches, team managers, referees, and game day support. It’s a true community effort that makes match days special for everyone involved.

What to expect:
  • Fun, game-based training that builds essential football skills

  • Two training sessions per week (sometimes three), plus Sunday matches

  • A focus on teamwork, confidence, and learning through play

  • Real games against other local clubs – without the pressure of recorded results

  • Friendly, supportive coaches and an inclusive club environment

What skills they’ll build:
  • Striking the ball

  • First touch and control

  • 1v1 play

  • Running with the ball

  • Spatial awareness and decision-making

  • Playing in a variety of positions to become adaptable, well-rounded players

What to bring:
  • Football boots and shin guards

  • Club uniform

  • A water bottle

  • A positive attitude and team spirit!

Pathways:

Our Non-Competitive program is designed to give players a strong foundation for future competitive football.

From here, players can progress into our Junior program, continuing to develop their skills in a structured, supportive environment. Whether your child dreams of playing competitively or simply wants to enjoy the game with friends, this program gives them everything they need to grow and thrive.

Players also have the opportunity to participate in various Cups that are held around Victoria to further their development and experience in competition.
